The Yankee catcher passed out t-shirts to his mates before yesterday's game. On the front: "Grind It." On the back: "There is no trying. There is doing or not doing." How very....Yoda. Leave it to the Evil Empire to co-opt RSN's rebel mojo! (We're sure Big Jorge, the one who signs the checks, would approve.) Anyway, dopey or not, we're pleased with the result: a 5-1 victory over KC. Bernie (2 dingers!) must surely have been wearing his. A-Rod, too. Meanwhile, the Sox had to slug another one out. That bodes well for our boys. May the force be wth them.

When did Yoda say "Grind it"? I thought that was Jenna Jameson...

That seems oddly backwards. As it seems to me, Posada is the only person that needs such motivation. The rest of that team seems to be "grinding" just fine. Maybe, Sheff or A-Rod put a little birdie in Posada's ear about doing something for "team" motivation, while all the time meaning "Posada" motivation.

Yankees can't even get Star Wars quotes right.
The actual Yoda quote is:
"Do or do not. There is no try."

Agree with brad here (is that possible!). Posada's poor poor season has undoubtedly been one of the bigger reasons for the team's struggles, outside of poor pitching. He seems to be awakening though just in time for the stretch run.
YF, what says you about the Lawton pick-up. Seems to me a pretty solid one in terms of risk taken. Cash is earning his money this last month.
