Offensively beleaguered? Who says? The Yanks, down 10-1 to the Rangers last night, mounted one of the more spectacular comebacks in memory, thanks in no small measure to a man named Posada. (Derek chipped in, too, with a 3-run dinger, and Miguel Cairo had a crucial 2-out hit.) After the jump, we provide the scoring summary, for posterity's sake. But the pictures above, on the left Jorge taking a huge blow and hanging on to put out Mark Teixeira in the 6th, and on the right his blast to win the game in the 9th...well, we're gonna remember those two plays for some time.

I left work and ended up at a bar where I caught the 8th inning on. Needless to say I missed a lot of scoring, but still got to watch the big pay-off. The bartender, a SF Giants fan, cheered Jorge's homer. Fan allegiances aside, what a game!

Lack of drama is good sometimes, Bozo. Sometimes it's nice to just watch a game and enojoy just seeing your team play. I really have no desire to have a heart attack at age 16, thanks.

posada's play at home will be appearing in clip shows and MLB highlight reels for decades. my guess is that yankee fans better get accustomed to watching this type of game...
