It is, without doubt, our favorite book of the year. And now we hear of a brazen plan to bring that work of unalloyed genius to the Broadway stage, and in musical form. No doubt Mr. Spalding would be pleased with this audacious endeavor to celebrate his globetrotting adventure in song. "Everything is possible to him who dares," said he; words we fully hope to hear set to an upbeat tune. Strike up the band. And someone call Bialystock.
