first inning: Wright walks Podsednik, gives up an infield hit to the next guy and a double to Thome. All said and done he only gives up 1 run. Pretty lucky, but a good job by Jaret in fighting back. Let's see what the Yanks' bats have in them today.

The Captain comes through! A homer to tie the game.

Giambi walks and A-Rod follows with a 2-run jack! The offense is awake!!!

Jim Thome, lazy sack of shit. First he doesn't start legging out his ground ball to first, though he beats the double play. Then he barely sprints to second after watching the ball make it through the hole and is gunned down on a force. Totally pathetic.

Freddy Garcia looks like he put on about 15 pounds of fat.

Melky!!! What a great throw!!!

Freddy channelling Jerry.

Jeter almost makes a highlight reel catch.

E6 as the captain bobbles an easy DP ball.

First and second, nobody out. Myers in to face Thome. He pops out to shallow center for one out.

Myers is out after one pitch, but he did what he was there to do. Farns in to face Konerko with one away.

Farns chases Dye off the plate with a brush back. He then induces a pop fly to right to end the inning. Threat over.

Giambi goes inside out and beats the shift.

ARod jams his bat into the ground in disgust after popping out to right. Replace your divots, Alex.

Farns gives it up to AJ who takes him upper deck in right. Nice, Kyle.

Now a single to Crede. Still no outs. Keep it together, Farns.

Now he gives up a single to Brian "I'm hitting .196" Anderson. CRAP. Joe gives Farns the hook. Looks like Mo is getting extra work tonight as Farns just didn't have it. Tying run on first, no outs, top eight.

Sweet 463 DP to end the eighth.

Cotts in for Chicago. I wouldn't mind an insurance run or 4 here.

Farnswacker should personally thank Mo for cleaning up his shitty mess.

Yanks are sat down in order. Two run lead heading into the top of the ninth. Put it away, Mo.

Iguchi doubles. Thome walks. Konerko grounds into the DP, Iguchi to third. It's Dye vs. Rivera for the Chicago's last out.

Rivera gets Dye swinging on the high fastball for his 400th career save, fourth all time behind Smith, Hoffman and Franco. Ball game, NYY 6, CWS 4. Nice sweep, Yanks.

The win puts NY 3 games behind Chicago for the AL wild card, and as of right now, just one game behind Boston in the AL East.
