Sorry about the lack of a gamer yesterday. The gerbil family was enjoying a game at SafeCo, and yours truly had a great time heckling Kenny Rogers before and especially after he gave up a slam to Kenji Johjima, who worked a marvelous at bat, fouling off four pitches before launching a hanging curve over the left field wall. As I was sitting with a bunch of Tigers fans, my derision of the Gambler was not much appreciated. Then again, I was rooting for both teams to lose so there wasn't really any concern for popularity. If I were to go to today's game, I could tell Jeff Weaver how much he stinks. Very tempting.
Enough of ex-Yankee pitchers who suck. It was definitely a pleasure to see the Yankees final come in; the Sox, not so much. So the Yanks' record is now a double-Reggie, and the Bombers are a still a Rizzuto behind the Sox. Moose is on the mound against Edwin Jackson, who has been truly atrocious on the bump this year. The Yanks haven't seen him yet this season. Line-ups in the extended; comment away.

i know it's the d-rays, and july, but this game is pretty huge. a must-win, in my opinion, to keep the chase going.

Hey, at least Farnsworth's in in a close game in the 8th inning. AGAIN.
If Torre was a bench coach and someone else the manager, or if someone else was in charge of pitching changes, I'd make that change in a half-second.

Kyle Farnsworth is the worst player on the team.
At least Wil Nieves has only appeared in, like, 15 games.
