Dear attackgerbil,
I just wanted to let you know that though things may appear bleak right now being 10 games out and all on your birthday, enjoy the present, because as of today, July 13th 2008, the Yankees just re-signed free agent Wil Nieves after starting catcher Raul Chavez got knocked out of the line-up on a collision at home. It's too bad, because Chavez and closer Kyle Farnsworth seemed to finally be getting on the same page. Jason Giambi committed three errors at first in one game last week; he's really having a hard time getting used to playing the field again since Andy Phillips had to move to third after Eric Duncan pulled his hammy. Who would have thought that we would regret releasing Miguel Cairo, who got picked up by the Orioles? At least right-fielder Shelley Duncan is finally hitting above his weight.
Best regards,
future attackgerbil

Happy b-day, Gerbil!
Bleak forecasting there.

Thanks, Nick. Yeah, it's a bit glum imagining Rodriguez, Posada, and Rivera walking, but I was thinking about what happened with Pettitte and that's where I ended up.

Happy Birthday! May this and every future birthday be filled with family, friends, and ten-game division deficits.

you know what, I still don't blame the front office for Pettitte's departure.

Hey Gerbil atleast ya have Ichiro out west there for another 5 years and a nice stadium...have you thought about trading allegiances? YF vs SF vs MF :p
Oh and why does YF always come first? Red Sox before Yankees in the alphabet and standings yet everywhere on this blog where both have lists its always Yankees first :-p

Watching them tomorrow; Tigers/M's.. good seats, great hotel.
> have you thought about trading allegiances? YF vs SF vs MF :p
I track the M's pretty closely, but they creep me out for some reason. I'm probably just still pissed about the Bone for Phelps trade.
> Oh and why does YF always come first? Red Sox before Yankees in the alphabet and standings
I'd gladly swap positions on the blog for positions in the standings.

I think at this point changing YFSF to SFYF would just be too weird, kind of like seeing the Sox in first hopefully come September.

Seeing the Sox in first on Sept. 1 isn't weird. Seeing the Sox in first on OCT. 1 is what would be weird.

Happy b-day, Gerb!
YF-SF makes perfect sense. It's organized in order of World Series titles!

well the comment wasnt so much directed at the name but the site contents yanks blogs first yanks news first Yanks game threads usually first (course thats more to do with the Sox guys putting together so in depth info so it takes them longer to set it up:p)

In the spirit of fairness, the sox news has been moved up. Now the sox will politely return the favor by falling to second in the standings.
