It hurts, because it is true.

Strange... Feels pretty good to me... ;-)

Three years to Brad Wilkerson?

Pass.

He's a solid fit for the Sox, even at 3 years. It's the 7 million I wouldn't sign up for. If Wilkerson were desperate and would take a year I might take the chance if I were the Yankees. Again, he's not a slam dunk by any stretch,

Stay away - stay far away. As a lefty against right-handed pitching, he's actually worse:

2007: .224 .313 .444 .757
2006: .230 .313 .447 .760
2005: .228 .335 .402 .737

He's better in his career against lefties too. Duncan could give that awfulness and for 6.5 million less. Betemit too.

I smell plant - the Yanks trying to drive up the price on the Sox. The Yankees already have a ton of left-handed hitters, especially in the outfield (Damon, Matsui, Abreu) and even Melky hits righties better.

Totally OT: If it's so frickin' cold in Green Bay, why are so many players out there in short sleeves/bare arms? Maybe to prevent other lineman from getting an easier grip?
