Why do we know the perpetrator is Horde? The Alliance are the true cowards, fighting amongst each other like children!

I blame Leeroy Jenkins.

Who shot who in the what now?

Professor Plum, in the Library, with the Lead Pipe.

Big points from me if anyone knows where my last comment is a quote from.

Well that'd be from the Simpsons, right Paul? From 'Who Shot Mr. Burns'...

Er, I meant Lockland, with the quote, in the previous comment...

Bingo. 10 points to FSP.

It was a lone knave, ensconced in the 6th floor of the book depository.

Heads up to the SF writers here...

I realize this is some serious minutia, but this is the season of minutia and I found this interesting, but also realized it speaks to a larger Red Sox issue.

The Red Sox are in the process of trying to sign Hayato Doue, Japanese Independent League catcher.

Very little chance that this kid ever makes it to the MLB level, but I see it as a sign that the front office is starting to aggressively and creatively think about life after Tek. There is a real black hole in catching talent pretty much at every level for most ball clubs, great catchers seem to be a dying breed.

There's not much out there on Hayato, but one interesting tidbit, he can throw the ball 130 meters, or 426.5 feet! People aren't going to run on this guy, not for fear of getting out, but simply not wanting to get killed if he misses his mark.

Might be worth a post and some discussion, there is a pretty good thread on him over at SOSH if you want to dig up some more info.

They must think Hayato has SOME chance at making the Majors. I mean, that's the reason you ever sign someone, right? Unless they have some sort of big plan to stock the minors with Japanese pitchers, and they want to have a trusted compatriot down there catching them. Hmm, wait a sec...

Don't get me wrong, they must see something, but I think it's a distant long shot, he's been scouted by the Japanese ML clubs and not given shot, so it's tough to get too excited.

Sure is quiet around here today...

*crickets*

this just in, newsday reporting that mcnamee testified that MRS. clemens was taking HGH as well.

she'll never get into the hall of fame now.

No surprise looking at some of those Sports Illustrated swimsuit photos...

How does one tinyurl something anyway? I'd post a link, but it would be obnoxiously long. Just google image "debbie clemens swimsuit", though...

Though stupidly I've never done it, I think this site will do the trick for you

The entertainment value of this is really starting to skyrocket to epic levels.

It's like Christmas, the World Series, Seinfeld "The Bet" episode and Groundhog Day all rolled in to one!

if you go to tinyurl.com, you paste the long address and they'll set you right up.

Super, thanks Nick/YFIB! I suppose that would have been the obvious solution. Doh!

Oh, and here:

yeah, lockland. i thought the beercan marked the apex, but now we're dragging the wife into it? i tried to ignore this, but now the headlines are just too ridiculous to pass up on a slow work day.

Oh geez, I shouldn't have looked at that photo so soon after lunch. *blurp*

I'm pretty sure now that this is not going to end until Congress gets McNamee to admit that the Clemens' dog (Kujo) was given Canine Growth Hormone in with his Kibbles.

"...life after Tek..."
you guys will go with him and love him well into his 80's, despite his diminishing skills, given how good he is with pitchers and all...

the rumor i heard was that schilling got hurt patting himself on the back...

loki kaos (joshua) / in the Doom Cave (his mothers Hoboken basement) / with a Gae Bolg (the spear of Cuchulainn, given to him by Aife, the sister of Scathach, and made from the bone of a sea-monster).

sf rod is, of course, right as usual. 10 pts.

What did you say about a Gay Blog sf rod?

Sorry for off topic but i thought that it was noteworthy that the globe reported that the sox were never really interested in Santana..

I'm really upset about the Debbie Clemens thing. If you can't believe that the wives of professional ballplayers are naturally hot, then what can you believe in??
