The offense refused to get out of bed yesterday as the Royals clinched the three game series last night. Dismal cherry-pick of the day: there are only two teams in the majors with a lower RC/G than the New York Yankees: the San Francisco Giants (whom everyone expected to suck) and the Detroit Tigers (who showed signs that they could something about that last night). The Bombers hope to save face tonight with Andy Pettitte on the mound facing John Bale.

Yankees lineup from Pete:
Damon LF
Cabrera CF
Rodriguez C
Posada DH
Matsui RF
Molina C
Cano 2B
Ensberg 1B
Gonzalez SS
Pettitte LHP

Its called April Ball!

K for Damon, looking lost. Not the ideal start.....

2 down.
Who stuck the bodies of the 62 Mets into the 08 Yanks?
Posted by: YF | Thursday, April 10, 2008 at 08:19 PM
And the unhittable John Bale dispatches the Yankees in 11 pitches.
We stink!

We stink!
Wrong thread!

Nice getting out of the inning. But pathetic...

Leche! Onesies.
Posted by: YF | Thursday, April 10, 2008 at 09:00 PM
Leche!!!
But A-Rod grounds out on the first pitch. Who are these bottom-feeder impersonators?
Posted by: AndrewYF | Thursday, April 10, 2008 at 09:00 PM
Pettitte really struggling. With the Royals. The Royals are awful.
Posted by: AndrewYF | Thursday, April 10, 2008 at 09:08 PM
A rally!!!!
Posted by: AndrewYF | Thursday, April 10, 2008 at 09:14 PM
A rally-killer. And Cano continues to be god-awful. Even though the Yankees are winning, this game sucks.
Posted by: AndrewYF | Thursday, April 10, 2008 at 09:18 PM
Sweet. A rally and a follow-through.

Holy crap, Molina now has four doubles on the season.
I think we can notch this as a 'win' in the trade column for Cashman.

Yankee threads are so lonely these days. :(

Any true Yank fans on this site?
Its nothing but dribble about the Sox who you would think have the 26 rings...its easy to run to the facts!

It's "drivel", dude. Not "dribble". Drivel.
Frankly, even I think the site has gotten very un-Yankee-centric and it kinda bothers me. Not that the regulars here haven't been supportive fans, but that there isn't as much Yankee news or Yankee coverage or even gung-ho pro-Yankee sentiment (except for the trolls). I'd love to see a Yanks top 50 seasons, for instance.
Maybe it's just a perspective thing, though, and I don't have the real picture.

hehe, "dribble", that made me chuckle...

The problem is that Paul is TOO good with his Red Sox write-ups. Not to take anything away from the YF writers on the site, but Paul goes above-and-beyond with some of his posts.
I would love to see a Top 50 for the Yanks as well. It's always interesting to see the other side of things. And that post by the Anonomous Coward is funny. Good job pointing out the typo Devine!

Red Sox fan working on new Yankee Stadium buried Red Sox gear under what will become the home locker room.
Hehe!

Yeah, it's been kinda quiet on the Yankee front, hasn't it...both in terms of team, and the folks here. I imagine things will pick up a bit this weekend though.

Greetings all. Haven't been to the YF-SF site yet this season, though I did my duty and caught terrible cold at the rained-out Yankee home opener.
Nice to see some offense last night and Pettitte gamed it out in typical fashion.
Hugely interested in what Hughes does in hostile Fenway going up against Mastuzaka this weekend. Most interesting pitching match-up of the series to me.

Heh, and here I thought the last six threads, including the Sox gamers, were started by a YF...
I anticipate a return to the site (at least on my part) sometime this afternoon. If you know what I do and about where I live, then you know why I haven't been here much the past week...

I can't believe there's no thread for this NY Post story:
