Emo Phillips wrote the tag line above, along with preceding sage advice: ...and always remember the last words of my grandfather, who said,
Jeter is in the lineup tonight. Frankly, I'm amazed. In a moment of insanity, I thought to test myself and see how I would do with such pain as I imagine he felt last night, and grabbed a claw hammer with which to pound my left hand while holding a mop stick. Unfortunately, I can't hit any better than the Yankees and missed. Okay, that's not true. I don't own a hammer. Or a mop.
Garrett Olson has been solid for the Orioles this season; the young southpaw has yet to lose in four starts, and his one no-decision was arguably his best outing of the season. He goes against undefeated call-up Darrell Rasner, who is one or two quality starts from being a revelation.

I lol'ed.
I'm also shocked to see Jeter back in tonight. I thought for sure his hand would be broken, or at least bruised bad enough to need a few days off.

ESPN is stupid: "Which player is more valuable to the Yankees right now: ARod or Jeter?"
It's ARod, and it's not even close.

What a nice play by Cintron to rob Moeller. I've been able to see ARod's homer and that play only, so far this game basically.

Melky gets hit to load them up. Hmm... volume is off. Was there a warning issued?

I'm really liking Rasner a lot right now. That may change, but he seems pretty solid at this point. So far, so good.

ARod comes back, and is benched on my fantasy team, and he's hitting awesome. Grrrrr.

rasner = yankees ace WOW!!!
Either "Thank God" he's good or "Oh Shit" he's our best pitcher!!!

Rasner is the man. I was at the game tonight and he really pitched great. Ironic really that our best young pitcher is the least hyped of them. At this point, I really feel comfortable running him out there every 5 days.

Rasner is reminding me a bit too much of Aaron Fucking Small (yes, I gave him the Bucky Dent middle name). Hopefully he comes back to earth at some point.

There are some huge differences between Small and Rasner. Small was a journeyman with very little prior success. On the other hand, believe it or not, Rasner has had a pretty solid minor league career (3.27 career ERA). I think we would have heard alot more about him had he not been overshadowed by "the big 3" He could very well transition into an MLB back of the rotation pitcher a la Ted Lilly. He has done a great job of staying within himself and throwing the all important strike. He has great poise on the mound and seems to know what he is doing out there. I hope this continues.
