Hehe, I've stumbled upon that video several times while trying to find footage of Eephus pitches.

That's a pretty sweet Eephus. I wish I could find the one that got ARod to ground out on, but it was taken down recently.

This is really cool too: pitcher for Creighton that throws both righty and lefty.

If only Daisuke had the same control.

Even if he misses, the ump almost has to give him the strike. Just to encourage him to try it again.

if i remember correctly the yankees drafted that creighton pitcher.

Also, Arod may have grounded out on a eephus pitch but he also hit one of El Duque's about 500 feet when he was on the Rangers.

Yeah, I remember that Sam. El Duque's eephus was always overrated in my opinion.

Yeah, totally not a strike. But an awesome vid. When I first saw it, I was like, "Woah he released that ball way sooner than he should've!" Now I know why...

El duque's eephus was more of a hybrid eephus/super-slow changeup. It certainly didnt go over the batters head in height.

Greg Harris pitched for the Sox was ambidextrous.

Greg Harris - appeared in 70 games for the Sox, a record set at the time I think.

Should have said, Sox team record at the time for Greg Harrs

Sorry for the double post, the Vodka and Cranberry juices are getting to me.

Interesting comments from ole' Lou Gorman about Greg Harris switching pitching hands during a game, "GM Lou Gorman insisted it would "make a mockery" of the game". Isn't this the same Lou Gorman that traded Jeff Bagwell for Larry Andersen?!?

According to the article Harris stated, "Boston is so conservative. People are afraid to try anything." In a muted show of defiance, Harris usually chose to wear an ambidextrous glove on the mound."

I don't know, I've tried things, of course I haven't lived in the Boston area since 2000 (Williamsburg VA, in da HOUSE, OK, that was stupid, shouda been Williamsburg, VA "in thy home"!). I've tried Vodka and Red Bull without dying so I've got that going for me.
