does this mean no more logging in and out over and over to post in a game thread??

it should help, tree. I think you can stay logged in for two weeks. Still, not sure why you are having that problem even without authentication. Weird. Typepad has foibles, annoying ones sometimes.

I hope so, Tree. Some browsers I use remember my TypePad login credentials properly, some don't. Can't figure it out. We all agree it is extremely frustrating.

yeah, I can stand clicking "sign in" but in a flurry of home runs or interesting events...it can get pretty tedious
as always, love the blog, been here a few seasons, and this is one of my daily stops for redsox fun.

Let's see if this helps. (The Typekey login has been available before, it just never worked very well... for me at least.)

So, do the Sox have any outfielders available now?
Bad timing by Coco to induce a suspension.
Posted by: Hudson | Friday, June 06, 2008 at 08:51 AM
If Coco's suspended, and Ellsbury and Manny are sitting today... that leaves us with Drew. Time to empty our Pawtucket outfield!
Lugo and Youk can play the outfield, but I don't want to see it happen very often.

Coco will get suspended, guaranteed, and I bet it's no less than five games, somewhere between five and ten. Brandon Moss was already called up, I think.

Hey look at me, I'm official!
Posted by: LocklandSF | Friday, June 06, 2008 at 09:20 AM
Okay, even though I'm signed in sometimes when I try to post it says "Registration required." What's up with that?
When I log out and log back it, it lets me post.

That was an absolute perfect storm of crap last night, first time in a long time that we won a game and I was left with an empty feeling.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Coco get 10 games and it would be deserved.

Lockland, trolling through the comments from last night, I found your comment to stand out the most -
Coco is an idiot for sure, but easily the most impressive thing all night was him getting out of the way of that haymaker on his initial charge...most guys get dropped right there. That was impressive, as stupid as it was.

If you're on a MAC, using Safari, you might have trouble with the Typepad registration system, this is purely anecdotal, but I hear it all the time with lots of registration systems and MAC users.
If you're using IE, you should turn off your computer and throw it away, the Internet is not for you.
Everyone should just use Firefox, both MAC and PC users.

1. MACs are for Communists
2. I'm at work so I have to use IE
Posted by: Atheose - SF | Friday, June 06, 2008 at 09:29 AM
Haha, Atheose, funny stuff.
Posted by: LocklandSF | Friday, June 06, 2008 at 09:30 AM
There are two things that I think mandatory registration will result in...
1. Far fewer trolls.....good
2. Possibly a lot fewer comments.....bad
I'm sure this was a decision that you guys thought long and hard about, and I support it. I just hope it doesn't squash the community, a lot of healthy flesh often gets removed when you cut a cancer out.

You can't install FF on your work computer, Atheose? That's what I did.
Anyway, hopefully most of the regulars will go ahead and register and we won't lose much traffic.

AG, you are a super-genius!

Micah, some companies prohibit installing any new software on their computers. Even something as innocent as installing FF can get you in trouble at some places.
