Early runs scored yet again today - 2-1 Royals in the top of the 2nd.

DP - nice. When Cano stays awake, he and Jeter turn a nice DP.

Gets the K to end the inning. Sure is throwing a lot of pitches today.

The ghost of Robinson Cano is up. Tries to bunt on but is thrown out. Hey - at least he got the bunt into fair territory this time.

Yanks go out in order and quickly. Top 3.

Sterling, for the 50 millionth time in the past few seasons giving his stunning insight that baseball is unlike every other sport since you change your most important player (P) each day. He says this so often every season and takes so long to say it that I feel I can regurgitate it im my sleep. In his defense, he's filling time while the game is paused for an injury to the HP ump.

OK. Tumbleweeds here and it is middle of the night where I am so I'm off. Had hoped the Yanks would have a lead when my head hit the pillow, but no doing. 3-1 KC with 1 out and a man on third after an RBI triple. Andy doesn't have it (again). Blech.

once again, you have to question Joe Girardi's judgement on leaving Andy in against Jose (I'm killing Andy Pettitte today) Guillen.
Brutal.

Pettitte is done. Fucking retire man. Glad I checked the score just in time to see him give up a Grand Slam. We are now officially worse than the Rays and Royals. 1980's...Here we come!!!

Girardi's left Wang in too long twice this season (not his last outing where he just sucked it up but the previous two where he obviously didn't "have it" and yet made it deep enough to call it a day and feel like your bullpen could do something.
Maybe there's some scary curse involved with the Yankees bullpen. First Torre refused to utilize players and now Girardi.

Pettitte's been a problem this year but he had went 6 full and there was no need to let him even pitch the 7th let alone load the bases to face the one guy who is killing the ball this past week or two.

Damon is 5-5 on the day, singling in the bottom of the eighth scoring Cano and Cabrera to tie the game at ten runs.

Mo in to pitch the top of the ninth with a tie score.

DeJusus homers to deep right center on the first pitch. Oh, the pain.

Giambi lines out.

Jorge ties the game at 11 with a one-out dinger.

This game is bonkers.

FYI, just walked in the door, and it's about 148 degrees out there, and 200 percent humidity.

Damon up with two outs, two runners on, bottom of the ninth and chance to go 6-6.

Jorge's ball was a few feet from landing in the Loge seats. Has anyone every seen a ball land in those seats? The overhang of the upper deck makes it a very difficult thing to do...

DAMON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Holy shit. Damon goes 6-6 with a single to win the game.

Sweet Jeebus. 6 for 6 with a single to win the game.

Oops.. double posted. But worth saying twice. Or six times.

First walk off as a yankee!!!

Great win. Lets hope for a good one from joba for tomorrow....

Doubly awesome for me since I drafted Damon this season for the ol' Fantasy BAseball team!
