Tonight, Mike Mussina and the Yankees take on Jesse Litsch and the Blue Jays. The Yankees find themselves in last place in the AL East and seven games back of the Rays. So while the Red Sox and Rays battle it out in Beantown for AL East supremacy, the Yankees and Blue Jays will be battling it out in the Bronx for well...Hope. Both teams have a great deal to look forward to and optimistic about. The Yankees finally got their all-star backstop back today. Posada will most likely start tomorrow and Friday, rest Saturday and be back on Sunday (according to Sweeni Murti.) Offensively the Yankees are back to full strength and ready to make a push in the standings. The Blue Jays are 32-28 and just four games back of the Rays. At 3.32 they hold the best team ERA in the American League. They have two starters with ERA's under three and tonight's starting pitcher Jesse Litsch has a 7-1 record and a 3.18 ERA. The Yankees have the offense, the Jays have the pitching. Who will win this battle? Only time will tell. Comment away!

Halladay and now Litsch. Two of the endiest-of-the-end-of-the-toothpaste-tube pitchers in the game. The Yanks are tenth in the league in working walks. Mooseses' BB/9 is (fortunately) stingy as well. I would love to watch this game, but I am in the cheering section for Ms. Gerbil's womens' league softball team, whose 4-0 record is directly attributable to my rooting skillz.

Another exciting night on the last place team in the AL East Chat!!!! Moose has looked awesome. Jeter passing Mantle on the Bronx hit list is pretty amazing. When it's all said and done, we've been able to watch one of the best Yankees of all time. How cool is that?
Can the bullpen hold a 3 run lead tonight? Going into the 7th as I type and I say...yes, yes they will. I hope. Maybe. We'll see.

p.s. Wings are about to win the Cup...must be nice. Buffalo will never win a Cup. I always get depressed this time of year.
