Hank Steinbrenner apparently responded to a reporter's question about whether Barry Bonds will be a topic for discussion at the important Tampa summit set to take place soon. He didn't say no. Hank is impressionable, so basically a reporter just created an agenda item for the meeting. The Yanks are like open source wiki software- (I'm not tech-savvy in the least, but I think this makes sense). The private citizen can change the course of the franchise just by suggesting. You want the Yanks front office to discuss A-Rod and Madonna? Well then just tell Hank and he'll put it on the agenda. Here's one: Why are the Yanks supposedy going after a lefty reliever? Is it time to send Brett Gardner down? Jason Bay: worth a high-level prospect package or not? And you can get more fantastical if you'd like. The Lochness Monster or Big Foot. Who would you rather be and why? A purple unicorn: the new logo for the Yanks starting in 2009? Lower ticket prices for the new stadium because these fans deserve it? (One can dream).
What do you want them to discuss?

Oh, let's give Hank a little more credit here. Maybe the reporter was really a Jedi?
"Bonds IS the batter we're looking for. Move along. Move along."
Very funny, Nick, you're on a roll today.

Why not Bonds? If its not going to cost our farm system to bring him in, I say give it a shot...
