With the Clay Buchholz disaster, Bartolo Colon's ill-advised swings, Jason Varitek's collapse into the end of his career, the vortex of suck out of center field for most of the season and the Manny Ramirez fiasco, it's amazing this team is still in first place for a playoff spot.

EEI is reporting that Beckett will indeed miss the Yankee series, and is slated to start on Friday night instead.
Just to add to the anger of leaving those guys on base just now...
