Worst View Ever

Obstructedviewsheastadiumlogeboxes

Home Run Derby takes a look at some of the worst seats in baseball. Fenway, of course, is represented, but perhaps nothing is worse than this seat at Shea Stadium, where the right-field foul pole might as well be plunging through the seat. Oh, so that's why they're tearing it down...

On the plus side, this seat gives you something sturdy to hang on to when the Mets bullpen comes in to nail down a 4-run lead.

Is that really a seat?

Indeed. I hope they don't actually sell tickets for it, but given it's New York, they probably do...

Wow, they barely scratched the surface in Fenway, how about pretty much all of outfield grandstand sections 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. Every infield grandstand section has at least 15 seats where pillars block home plate and/or the mound/first base.

I could go on and on. What always annoyed me most about Fenway is not that there are obstructed view seats, it's that they only mark them obstructed view if the the pillar is directly in front of you.

If I'm paying $50+ for a ticket to a game and I can't see home plate, you mark that damn ticket obstructed!!!!

/end rant

"I hope they don't actually sell tickets for it, but given it's New York, they probably do..."

As you can tell from Lockland's rant I wouldnt say selling crappy terrible seats is a new york thing alone.

I only hope they resize the seats in the new stadium. I don't mind the width as much as the depth. I am only 6ft1, but the leg room is unbearable.
