Yankees Lose To U.C.L.A 1-0!

Well not really.  But with the way the Yankees are playing right now it's most certainly possible.  The real story is that the Yankees 2008 first round pick, Gerrit Cole, has decided to attend U.C.L.A instead of playing for his favorite team.  This according to Tyler Kepner.  Pete Abe also weighs in "Cole was said before the draft to be immature. That he blew off a conference call the day of the draft to go golfing seemed like further evidence of that."  According to Pete Abe, the Yankees will pick up a second 2009 first round pick if Cole officially decides to attend U.C.L.A.   Cole is a right handed pitcher from  California who according to Kepner "throws 98 miles an hour with a hard slider and changeup."

Everything seems to be coming up roses these days in Yankeeland.
