Are you telling me Jeter would get in trouble for scooping up a handful of dirt from the SS position, because he didn't pay the Yankees top dollar for it? What a joke.

Nobody is telling you that at all Atheose. Players were grabbing dirt by the bucketful last night. The yankees didnt want players walking away with bigger items, most of which are owned by the city.

Also, did everyone else read about Moose buying the flagpole to bring back to his place in PA? Thats pretty awesome...

no joke, someone told me that urinals will be going for $2000....not sure if that's with or without the cake and drain cover...i can find out if anyone's interested...

At the end of the game 2 players from the Orioles went onto the pitchers mound and tried to scoop some dirt into a baggie. After about 15 seconds a police officer came over and shooed them away. Jose Veras kissed the mound...a little over the top for a guy who has been here 2 seasons and not even 2 full seasons.

Sam, I like the part about the jerseys how they have to stay in the family. That's just crazy!

John - That was Millar and Roberts who grabbed the dirt right after the game. They were successful in doing so as far as I could tell. Other Orioles and just about every yankee followed up doing the same...

Are those urinals used or new by any chance?

Hehe I wish I could have seen the mad dash of people trying to grab stuff. Moose buying the flagpole? Hilarious!
