Joe Torre's Dodgers need a win tonight to keep him from an early jump on his surfing, Pilates, and other ancillary benefits of his new SoCal lifestyle. Chad Billingsley got rocked in his first start against Philadelphia, while Cole Hamels had a respectable start against everyone not named Manny. Comment on your senior circuit action here.

is torre really getting the last laugh on the yankees?....yeah, i know his new team is in [for the moment], and his old team isn't, but is it really vindication to simply be the more accomplished team that didn't win?

I dont buy any of this Torre getting the last laugh stuff. His team had a worse record in a worse division and league. He couldnt have prevented Wang and others from getting hurt and that was the major factor in the yankees missing the playoffs. Good for him for doing what he did in LA but it has no bearing on the yankees or their decision to move on as far as im concerned.
