This is BS. By my calculations I got no less than negative 12,000 points.

I have double and triple checked the math. (no I haven't.) It's solid. (it isn't.)

AG = Drew Carey on who's line is it anyway with the points awarded :)

> AG = Drew Carey

I'm more of a Clive Anderson guy.. :)

"I think the Tigers offense and pitching depth will prove to be too much for the AL Central."

What was I thinking? What a dope.

"The Mariners rotation is deep. It’s not sexy after 1 and 2, but Washburn, Silva and Batista round out a very solid group. Add to that the best closer in the West in J.J. Putz and you can pencil the Mariners in as AL West champs."

Ok, I was sort of right that Washburn would be ok, but Silva and Batista were God awful. To boot Bedard, their ace broke down early on as did "the best closer in the west." Uggh! Dope.

"The Red Sox will play the regular season like a team that has been there before. No need to have the best record overall when you have the best money pitcher in the game today."

Yeah! I got one right!

"The AL East will be the best division in baseball EVEN WITH the Orioles posting the worst record in the AL for 2008."

I get 1/2 a point for this one.

"The Braves are back. Look for Brandon Jones to challenge Jay Bruce for the ROY in the NL and John Smoltz to challenge Webb for the NL Cy."

Ok Smoltz may be done for good and Brandon Jones had just 116 AB's. Jay Bruce was VERY good... 1/4 point.

"The Brewers are for real. Their everyday lineup is very much an AL style lineup. Rickie Weeks breaks out (Finally!), Ben Sheets throws 200 innings and Corey Hart is so good he gets to wear his sunglasses whenever the heck he wants!"

Sheets threw 198+ innings, I was sooo close! Corey Hart was an all star, but Rickie Weeks once again stuck it to me for showing faith in him.

"Ahhh the Diamondbacks. Everyone will pick them to win the NL West and everyone will end up being right. Youth, deep bench, great starting pitching (Micah Owings will be very good) and a much underrated bullpen push them to the head of the class in the NL and a second World Series title."

I still don't understand how the D'Backs did as poorly as they did. They have such great front end pitching. Micah Owings was very good in the 1st half, very bad in the 2nd.

"Adam Dunn will hit 50 HR’s. Put that in the books! - John"

Adam Dunn had 40...close, but no cigar.

Once again it shows I know nothing!

Lee would have still been the run away favorite, since CC would have had to improve on the near four ERA he had in the AL before moving to the NL.
:)

unassailable system. anyway, no worse than the bbwaa.

ag's picks both got fired. Minus 823,577 points.

I can't stop laughing at this part. Well done AG!

If I were Jonathan Papelbon right now I'd be doing a jig in my underwear while dousing my fans in beer. And that's what I'm actually doing (minus the fans).

The celebration continues! Victory!!!

Awesome AG, just awesome. I needed something to quell my mob justice campaign against that Dallas writer who shall not be named.
