One guy is a columnist, the other is a beat writer. One crafted a fictional dramatic, artistically licensed (to be generous) narrative of the rivalry, the other reported, vividly, about a game. It is not hard to guess which person started his story about four hours before he even showed up at the ballpark.

Agreed on Kepner. Hopefully they have the wisdom to make him a columnist.

In fairness, having been at the game Friday, Teixeira got booed pretty enthusiastically. Wouldn't say it's on a par with A-Rod or how he was booed in Baltimore, though.
