ARod turned a sick DP to get us out of the 2nd...
Time to get some runs please???
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 08:33 PM
Back-to-back singles for Cano and Hip Hip to lead off the 2nd...RALLY TIME!!!
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 08:35 PM
Come on Godzilla...time to make the donuts!!!
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 08:36 PM
1-0 on the throwing error!!!!!
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 08:39 PM
1st and 3rd now with no outs...
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 08:39 PM
Swish quickly down 0-2...swinging for the fences both times.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 08:40 PM
K on 3 pitches...going to try and be more positive moving forward so...come on Melky!!!
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 08:41 PM
Great SAC by Melky...2-0!!!! He crushed that ball, nice catch by the OF'er.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 08:42 PM
Weird play...Jeter lines it off of the 3rd baseman and right to the SS. 3 outs. Nice inning though, gave Joba a lead to work with.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 08:43 PM
2-1. Joba gives it right back...not looking good.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 08:47 PM
What happened to Joba? He looks so tentative most of the time...it's frustrating watching him pitch.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 08:48 PM
90 MPH fastball? Really?
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 08:49 PM
Another questionable K for Joba on a check swing call...Ichiro to 2nd. 1 out. Come on Joba, bear down man!
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 08:52 PM
Walk...Joba struggling per usual.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 08:54 PM
He got out of it...whew.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 08:57 PM
Tex grounds into the DP...he hasn't been hitting very well lately. Then ARod grounds out weakly to the pitcher. This game sucks so far.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:03 PM
K - you guys are WINNING.
Don't let playing the Amazin's warp your perspective!
Posted by: dabize | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:06 PM
What happened to Joba going after people? He seems to have 2 strikes on everyone, but then nibbles with BS breaking pitches? He needs some balls!
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:07 PM
I hear ya dabize, i'm not pissed, I just don't like their energy right now...nor Joba's pitch count.
As I write that, he K's him with a 95 MPH fastball. Much better.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:09 PM
2 out double...
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:10 PM
ARod with the pick and throw...3 outs. We need more runs!!!
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:12 PM
Could be worse ....... he could have been cut off by a rain delay, a' la Smoltz. Oh well.
And now yo have Hughes, who seems to be no slouch as a reliever, even if people would prefer that he was starting.
I suppose its more interesting when the RS and NYYs are both "on", but that seems overrated to me. I LIKED being 5 games up..........
Posted by: dabize | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:19 PM
OK...2 on for Godzilla again. BRING DA NOISE, BRING DA FUNK!!!!
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:21 PM
Meh...you guys are set bro. The Sox are an excellent team...we are streaky and aggravating!!!
You are right about Hughes though, looks like a different pitcher coming out of the pen. Rain delay up there in Beantown?
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:23 PM
Walks the bases loaded for Swish...0 outs!!! BRING IT SWISH!!! BE THE BALL!!!
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:23 PM
Swish pops out to the infield...christ. Is he terrible or what? I want to stay positive but the guy is just awful.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:26 PM
Melky? Do you have it in you to come through?
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:26 PM
0 for 5 with RISP for the Bombers...not good.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:27 PM
3-1...fielders choice for Melky. 2 RBI's tonight. Better than nothing I guess...COME ON CAPTAIN CLUTCH!!! 1st and 3rd, 2 outs...
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:28 PM
We're in Charm City, k....... and they'll start again soon.... only apparently without Smoltz.
Wonder who is going to vultch his win.
Posted by: dabize | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:29 PM
They are fouling off fastballs right down the middle...man.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:29 PM
Gotcha...no way you guys lose up there D.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:30 PM
Blows the fastball by the Captain...bases loaded, 0 outs and we score one run. That is borderline infuriating. I'm holding back the anger right now...breathe krueg, breathe.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:31 PM
Much as I love the Fens, the game's in Baltimore.
I think the place goes by the name of "Charm City" - although I tend to think more of "Pink Flamingoes" when I drive through there.
Should really go to Camden Yards someday, what with all the great things that are said about it.
Meanwhile, looks like the NYYs are scoring more runs.
Posted by: dabize | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:35 PM
Leadoff infield single for Ichiro...lazy effort by Joba.
Steals 2nd.
Christ.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:36 PM
Steals 3rd too...
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:36 PM
3-2. that was easy...great job joba. not.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:37 PM
Stole another base on Hip Hip's geriatric arm...this game is not going to end well.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:40 PM
another walk...crowd is getting restless. as am i. this game is pathetic.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:42 PM
Ichiro is kinda like the 'flu when he gets on....catches ya napping.
And then (to pound the metaphor into the ground) we will all get TB....... 4 to 1 in the 8th, this will be 7 in a row for them.
Sick! (......runs away)
Posted by: dabize | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:43 PM
Tie game. You suck Joba.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:45 PM
The Rays are on fire.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:46 PM
3 outs finally...a completely sub-par outing for Joba. His lazy play on the first hit by Ichiro leads to a tie game. Just awful.
Hopefully the bats can wake up at some point? No energy on the field, no energy in the stands...this really feels like the Nats games. Good teams don't need to get fired up to beat an inferior team. (ie. the Sox)
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:48 PM
clarification:
The Sox are a great team and pound the shit teams.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:49 PM
Looks like Morrow has caught up with Joba's PC.
Not that that's necessarily good for the NYYs, from the look of it.
Since I can't watch the game, I can't tell whether Morrow is bad, or if it's just the Seattle D. Appreciate the updates, BTW.
As for the Rays, it's too wet here in BOS to think of fire, so a plague will have to do. They shouldn't be ignored, that's for sure.
Masterson in to vultch.
At least he got a 1-2-3, makes it seem less unjust.
Posted by: dabize | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:53 PM
Single for Tex...1 out. ARod? Big hit please?
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:53 PM
He has been pretty good? Or have we just been off? A lot of pitches right down the middle missed or fouled off...
Walks ARod...1st and 2nd, 1 out for Cano.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:55 PM
Cano is super un-clutch...
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:56 PM
Quickly down 0-2...christ.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:56 PM
K
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 09:58 PM
walks bases loaded for Godzilla...COME ON!!!
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:02 PM
Funny how it always seems that the team you root for has trouble with teams they should beat.
It hasn't seemed like the RS have been cleaning up on the dregs when I watch them, but then maybe I'm a curse - whenever I go to the game, they lose, so far to the Mets (vs Santana) and the Braves (that awful Daisuke start).
When you look back at the interleague numbers, both the NYYs and the RS have been winning when they had to, with the exception of the Mets (RS) and the Nats (Yanks).
Back to business now......
Posted by: dabize | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:02 PM
Godzilla chokes...Joba comes back in for science knows what reason, gives up a hit. SAC bunt, 2nd with 1 out. Coke comes in to face Ichiro. This should pretty much do it...
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:15 PM
Who closes for SEA these days?
At least you don't have to face the Putz.......
Posted by: dabize | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:16 PM
Complete shit start for Joba...per usual. Numbers be damned, the kids doesn't go deep or get wins.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:16 PM
That came out bad.....didn't mean to seem to gloat, k, especially since I'm actually still convinced that SEA will cough it up. I just forgot.
Posted by: dabize | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:18 PM
No idea biz...i know nothing about the mariners. I guess they have a tough bullpen so we should be done.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:18 PM
Coke comes in and gets Ichiro and Branyan...great job.
it's all good biz, no offense taken!
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:20 PM
One pitch, one out for Flusher. Just a joke of a player.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:22 PM
Melky K's swinging at crap up by his ears...we are going to lose this game.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:23 PM
If it makes you feel any better, Masterson gives up 5 runs in an eyeblink, and the O's are making it a game.
10-5.
Teach me to be bored.
Posted by: dabize | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:25 PM
That's 5 straight hits for the would-be vulture.
What's keeping you Terry?
Posted by: dabize | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:26 PM
An out!
Was almost 10-7.
No such thing as an insurmountable lead in this game.
Posted by: dabize | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:30 PM
Hughes comes in and mows them down on 9 pitches...1-2-3.
Can we score any runs??? Ever???
You guys will be fine Biz.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:32 PM
Jeez, I don't know.
10-6
As for the Yanks, think Santana.....15 runs.
It'll happen
Posted by: dabize | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:33 PM
Leadoff ground rule double for Johnny...LET'S GO YANKEES!!! COME ON TEX!!!
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:35 PM
Here's to hoping biz...her's to hoping. We have to keep pace with you guys!
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:36 PM
Crowd finally wakes up...Tex misses two fastballs right down the middle. 0-2
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:36 PM
You guys in the 8th yet?
Yahoo must be 2 innings behind easy.
Oki in.
And the throw hits the runner going into 3rd after a bloop hit.
Oh God.......
Posted by: dabize | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:37 PM
JUST misses extra bases down the first base line...usually means an out is coming now.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:38 PM
There it is...K. F-ck.
Bottom 7 biz...2nd, 1 out and ARod comes to the plate...
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:38 PM
Ohh ...... the short guy reels in a liner with 10-9 written all over it.
Breathe.
Hope you don't mind my camping out here, k, the guys in the other thread just curse, and I can do that myself.
Posted by: dabize | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:40 PM
AN ABOMB....FROM AROD!!!!! 5-3 YANKEES!!!! YEESSSSSSSS!!!!
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:42 PM
Gonzo!
Posted by: YF | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:42 PM
It's all good bro...I'm usually the worst on these gamers, trying to turn over a new leaf!! :)
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:42 PM
At the game tonight. That shot from A-Rod was mammoth. Griffey didn't budge as it arced high over his head.
Posted by: IronHorse | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:45 PM
Guess I can't begrudge AR that.....well I can, but you know what I mean.
Duty calls.....this atheist must be a diplomat now with the glatt kosher in-laws
Have fun......
Posted by: dabize | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:45 PM
Be strong bro! SCIENCE BE PRAISED!!!
You are there IH??? Hold up a sign that says "HEY KRUEG"!!!
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:47 PM
Let's see what Bruney has tonight...
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:49 PM
First pitch strike...nice.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:49 PM
Leadoff single...crap.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:50 PM
Another single...Bruney looks like dogshit. Had a 0-2 count too...this is ridiculous.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:52 PM
Here comes the bunt, then the tie game...again.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:53 PM
Things are so queit here that if I just yell your name out you'd probably hear me on the broadcast. Feels like we stranded a village on the basepads tonight. And not like a mostly deserted village in Siberia or something. I'm talking Southeast Asia or something.
And as I type, Bruney brings the go-ahead run to the plate with no outs.
Posted by: IronHorse | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:53 PM
5-4. Bruney sucks. Get him the hell out of the game. 1st and 2nd with 0 outs still. Bring in Ace. Bruney is garbage and should lose his 8th inning job. He has been terrible since he came back. Get rid of his sorry-ass...
Joe keeps him in the game. Great call idiot.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:54 PM
Bunt, 2nd and 3rd...1 out. Walking Ichiro to load the bases. So now, we should be down 5-7 in a minute with his speed on the bases.
Of course, Joe gets Mo up again with Ace. Bruney should not pitch in the 8th anymore...Ace should pitch the 8th from now on.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:56 PM
It is SO quiet there IH...our crowds have been pretty quiet this season so far it seems.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:56 PM
Bruney is about as dependable as a gas station machine condom.
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:59 PM
Tie f-cking game. Absolutely f-cking pathetic. YOU SUCK BRUNEY!!!!
Still not done sucking either...
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 11:00 PM
3 outs. BOO HIS ASS IH!!!! BOO THE SH-T OUT OF HIM!!!!
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 11:00 PM
Not to second guess Joe, since his moves are always so brilliant, but I agree with Michael Kay...why the hell do you take out Hughes when he only threw 9 pitches???
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 11:04 PM
Godzilla with the leadoff double!!!! Gardner to pinch run!!!
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 11:05 PM
Swish with a GREAT bunt...and the pitcher screws it up and there is no throw. I cannot believe that Swish actually did something useful!!! 1st and 3rd, no outs...COME ON MELKY!!!
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 11:06 PM
I fear that if I actually channeled my inner-krueg here I'd be kicked out and my package revoked...
Matsui LUMBERS into second ona frozenrope and Swish lays downa BEAUT. They MUST take the lead here and turn over to Month. Come on!!! (Meanwhile, out-of-town scoreboard makes the O'-Sox game look hopeful (for me)
Melkman delivers!!!!!!!!!!! Hi-fiving complete strangers...
Posted by: sidriss5@yahoo.com | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 11:06 PM
MELKY COMES THROUGH!!!!! RBI DOUBLE!!!! 6-5!!!! 2nd and 3rd...NO OUTS!!!! CAPTAIN CLUTCH TIME!!!
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 11:07 PM
HIGH FIVE SOME PEOPLE FOR ME!!!! Is that you IH???
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 11:08 PM
2 RUN SINGLE FOR CAPTAIN CLUTCH!!!! 8-5!!!! YEE HAAAAAWWWWWW!!!!
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 11:09 PM
Picked up Bruney's sorry-ass...
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 11:09 PM
Oops...yeah it was me. Outed myself there thanks to rapid B-berry typing. Oh well. Did the double hi-five on Jeter's hit for you there Krueg.
Posted by: IronHorse | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 11:11 PM
Great base running by the Captain...tags and gets to 2nd. Hooks the base with his foot to stay on the bag...IS THERE ANYTHING HE CANNOT DO???
Posted by: krueg | Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 11:12 PM
