"Those dark nights spent standing on the railing of a bridge back in June after dropping every game to the Sox seem so far away now."

Don't worry. You'll be reminded come october.

"I love that Andy Pettitte doesn't suck."

Again, wait until october :)

I love when I don't hate this time of year. Last year, many of you YFs finally discovered what it means to hate September. Because for the first time in your recent memories, you didn't play meaningful games. Most of my co-workers are Cubs or White Sox fans and they are miserable. So miserable they're not even talking about the Bears (thank God.) There is nothing worse than meaningless baseball games. Nothing. Except no games.

And I love attackgerbil's love of baseball.

"There is nothing worse than meaningless baseball games. Nothing. Except no games."

Um...Herpes? Herpes is probably worse I would imagine. ;)

I love AG period. And I have rodents AND Don Zimmer.

I love that some people get their testicles all twisted up when Curt Schilling says he won't rule out a run for Ted Kennedy's Senate seat. (I mean, sure I love the guy for the way he pitched for us but I'd never vote for him - unless he ran in Illinois, then I'd vote for him A LOT because that's what we do in Illinois - but he runs his mouth WAY too much to get elected to anything meaningful.)

OK, krueg, herpes is probably worse. And since you're nitpicking, So is a festering ingrown toenail.

I love miserable Cubs fans.

I love that the Red Sox seem poised to beat Matt Garza tonight.

I love that I haven't read anything on the earlier post about J.D. Drew.

I love that I turned off WEEI 1 minute after The Big Show started.

I love that Curt Schilling might run for senate.

I love chicken tenderloins grilled in butter in a frying pan.

I love swinging curveballs in the dirt.

I love German Shepherds.

I love Kittens.

I love the live 27-minute version of Dazed and Confused from This Song Remains the Same where Jimmy Page plays the guitar with a violin bow that starts shredding all over the place and he doesn't care cause he's high on heroin and it still sounds awesome.

I love baseball references that involve Ron Jeremy.

And I love this post.

I love all you guys...even SF!!! ;)

I love AG's sense of humor, especially the part about my posts. You can't copy that kind of sarcasm...

Seriously, though, thanks, AG. And I do love your sense of humor, and your general presence at this site, which I also love.

I love baseball. I think IBM hit it on the head:

There is nothing worse than meaningless baseball games. Nothing. Except no games.

Can I just say I love YFSF? Even if I only comment on something once a week, reading it is a regular part of every webday, and even the first place I go after some interesting bit of Baseball-related news comes out. Schilling eying the Senate? My first thought: What's YFSF have to say about it? Y'all are a hoot.

8. I love every comment that pretends to say there is some system that lets sox-centric authors get away/commit some perceived atrocity regarding "fairness" that the yanks-centric authors don't attempt, or any comment that tries to throw the TOS up for discussion. Keep them coming, because...

9. I love a good laugh.

or, you could do what you usually do gerb, and hit the snooze button again... ;)

wow, i'm glad i took a few days off from the debate...i just reviewed the drew discussions, and except for the childish interraction and unnecessary followup comments and posts, it demonstrated how passionate some of us are about our teams/players...not a bad thing generally, but still very undrew-like behavior...i even loved the completely irrelevant, yet necessary insertion of jeter into the discussion...funny stuff really, if it wasn't so tiresome and old...oh well, we're only human, even you gerb, and your sf buddies... ;)

for what it's worth, i thought paul had a good point re. drew...it's his lack of flair that belies his skills, and value to the team, and the fact that he is now, i think, the highest paid player on the team [per year]...that's sure to get his "value" scrutinized, especially for a team that prides itself for it's judgement calls on when players are no longer "worth it"...ironic, but his lack of personality is the same thing that some fans give jeter shit for...we can make some arguments that there are overpriced players on both teams...drew is probably not one of them, or if so, only by a little bit as paul pointed out...
