Gawker says Sports Illustrated is ready to give Derek the title of Sportsman of the Year. While this hardly makes up for the dazzling glove man being robbed of two MVPs by anti-big-city baseball writers, it's nice to see a major sports media outlet finally acknowledging our captain's greatness. It's been a long time coming.
